Darren Daulton: Co-Founder

(January 3, 1962 – August 6, 2017)

Darren, nicknamed Dutch, was a Major League Baseball player who played catcher for the Philadelphia Phillies in 1983, 1985-1997. He also played first base/outfield for the Florida Marlins in 1997. Darren was a three-time MLB All-Star with the Phillies and won the Silver Slugger Award in 1992. Dutch won a World Series with the Marlins in 1997.

Darren was passionate about helping the homeless and started a Foundation with this focus, along with supporting youth sports, in 2011. After Darren’s diagnosis, the Foundation’s mission was restated to providing financial assistance to those who suffer from malignant primary brain tumors. Darren passed away from Glioblastoma on August 6, 2017, aged 55.
